Living a simulation

Nature of reality as I experience it

Rohit Patkar

You are living a simulation. Everything is just a figment of your imagination.

Don't ask me if it's true. It's true for me.

I'm sorry. I can't help you realize the truth of it.

You have a choice to see it, for what it is. And laugh about it. Laugh about the fact that you took it for real, for such a long time. A millennia or more.

Once you see for yourself for what it is, you'll laugh yourself silly.

But you can't see until you're caught in it, can you?

You need to take a peek behind the curtain of the stage, and then you'll see for what it is.

You have to transcend the waking state reality, somehow. Then it's possible.

And when you see it, realize it, you'll be like, "Oh! This is just a simulation. How did I start to take all this so seriously?".

How can you transcend this waking state consciousness? You can and its easy!

Don't look to me for all the answers.

Take responsibility for your life. Don't be in a victim mode all the time. Wherein you need a shite job, that you hate, or fool yourself by saying that I like my job. You tell yourself I need this shite job to earn, to survive, to feed my family, to send my kids to school, to buy a flat, a car, to travel, for social status. If I don't have these things, what will my spouse say, what will my friends and family say, what will society say?

If I don't have my shite job, what will I do!? I don't know what I love to do, I don't know what I want in life.

I got married and have kids, because society taught me that's the normal thing to do.

Keep my head low and just do what society tells me to do. To act normal.

I never question anything. I follow the rules of the society. The society which Humans like me have created. The society which is profoundly sick.

So, I live a miserable life. I think I am happy. Because I have a spouse, kids, flat, car, job, money, status, friends. I have everything that makes me a successful person, as per the standards set by society. The same society which accepts wars as part of its culture. The same society where parents send their children to the army, navy, to kill or get killed.

And they are proud of their children.

Even then I follow, I accept the society and live by its standards. Ethical, unethical, who cares. As long as I am happy, let the world go to hell. My responsibility is only for me and my family. I am not responsible for the ugliness, for the wars, for the violence, for the corruption. They are. They are responsible. I am not.

I am just a product of this society. I am like this, because this is all I know. I was born in this society.

I just work for the big banks and MNCs that have literally enslaved Humanity. And I don't even know that. Because I was never taught to question the status quo. I am appreciated by my friends and family when my blinders are on.

Inside I am afraid. I am afraid what will happen when I start to question. Question my reality. Question my existence.

It might shatter the self delusional bubble of reality and petty self importance that I have created around me.

So, I never change. I know the society is brutal, violent, sick. But it's OK. I have learnt to be comfortable with the way things are. And if I try to change myself, I get very uncomfortable. And I can't afford to do that. Because now I have a family to look after. I have my wife and children.

And so the world goes on with its ugliness. Fear. Wars. Slavery.
